Types of elbows
There are two kinds of elbows
- SR Elbow: Short Radius Elbow
- LR Elbow: Long Radius Elbow
Advantages of butt weld elbows:
- Less material less cost
Elbows connect pipes via butt welding. Compared to threaded elbows, they require 10%-75% less material
- Less material less weight
Total weight is also reduced for elbows
- Powerful & tight
No threaded connection cuts extra space, and adds an extra strong hold
- Less frictional loss of energy
Better total energy saving in flow and transfer
